Every nerd or sci-fi fan needs a life-size R2-D2 in their home… check, done. This paper droid made entirely of recyclable paper stands at 3.25ft (99cm) tall, weighing 7lb (3.2kg). Just like his little brother, he is also quiet and well behaved. The “AE2” in the name is derived from the Architectural E2 paper I used for printing.

It’s a wrap! VisualSpicer, R2-D2-AE2 and Media Maze Studios ending a fun day of filming.
In 2018 I brought R2 to work at Microsoft for the NEXTcon Art Gallery and invited event attendees to decorate the artwork with markers and stickers.
Everyone really enjoyed this interactive show piece.
